History
It is in 1973 that Mr. Pierre Lapointe started Les Bicyclettes de Hull in a small, 625 square feet building, located at 622, St-Joseph boulevard, in Hull. The enterprise had a great success on the very first year, so good that M. Lapointe decided to expand the bike shop on two floors.
From the beginning, Pierre Tessier (his
nephew), is standing by his side to help him and take care of the bike repair shop. With 32 years of experience, he is considered to be one of the best mechanics in the Outaouais region.
It is in 1995, after obtaining a bachelor degree in administration, that Mr. Lapointe's son, Jean-François joins the enterprise.
From that point, Les Bicyclettes de Hull keeps getting better and bigger while offering a great customer service.
In 2003, it's time for the big move. The enterprise can no longer operate in its small building and Mr. Lapointe move to a bigger, better, 3000 square feet site (on 2 floors) that propels Les Bicyclettes de Hull toward a well-deserved leader spot amongst the best bike shops of the Ottawa/Gatineau region.
But it didn't take too much time before the store was too small again and for this reason, the store moved in 2008 to its new and current location,
still on the St-Joseph boul., but a bit closer to the highway leading to the Gatineau Park, located at 675, St-Joseph boulevard.
Our shop is now open throughout the year and during winter, we offer you a complete range of ergometers and road simulators on which it is possible to install your bike and continue to ride all winter long!
